"I know this is already in that poll, but I was wondering, how long will that poll stay there?the discussion forums are becoming more and morel ike a real forum each day. theyve added locking and stickying. but i guess a true forum would be cool 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

I'm not really using the Wetpaint forum, and instead I'm now building my own forun using www.freeforums.org, you could try it too.

That's why I'm asking how long I'm supposed to wait. I mean, right now, I don't have so many members, but when I'll have, I'll need a better forum. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

"What are the features that you consider *must have* for the forums?"1.Possibility to add images and working links 2.Colored fonts that can have different sizes, can be bold/italic/underlined (forgot the generic name for those three) 3. Emoticons 4. Signature after your thread. This don't even require HTML. BB Code can do the trick. 5. Also, we could have the all talked about online/offline button below our avatar. 6. Forums categories and subcategories: e.g. you have, let's say, a forum about music, in it, you have categories/subforums about musical genres, (rock, pop, etc.). Then, let's say you click on rock, a) there you can find threads related to rock bands (end of line) or b) you could find another line of subforums/categories/whatever about bands and in them threads about different albums, etc. There are other features, but those are the one's I'd love to see implemented first. For example we could have a status: whether it's a small quotes, a couple words, like on ym, or a small image, like 150/50 or 100/50, below our avatar. We could also have a spoiler tag, which would help movie related sites a lot. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

It would be great if you can do an online/offline button for our profiles too. 6. Like this idea. I also think we should have some user groups for the forums too. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Looking forward to that next release but above all a forum should be able to have sub categories and the ability to move threads around.For me sub categories are a basic thing for any forum, then other changes should come like being able to add pictures and hyperlinks etc.. To answer the original poster....I hope that all the things on the poll get added soon...as each one would be so valuable...thngs like anchor linking should be a standard feature for example 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
