To add a chat room you first have to choose which one you like best. there are many that work with Wetpaint. my favorite is xat, which you can find on www.xat.com . theres also Meebo or Gabbly. anyway, you simply go to those sites and there will be a button somewhere that says, Create a Chat, or something related to that. then you follow the steps until you reach the end, where you will find an embed code. copy and paste that onto your site like any widget and you'll have your chat box. i hope that helps! =D

I would like a private chat room for members in my site only. Does the recommended site offer that?

Well, you would have to make your site private if you want only your members to chat on the chatroom.

Anyone on the chat offering site can go to your chat room. The best chat that I have found is Chatango. It offers a mini-chat which you can set up just for your wiki and only those visiting your wiki can chat in the mini chat window. That is as close as you get to having a private chat room. Read more about it here. http://chatango.com/page?FAQ I have used this chat widget on my site without any strangers disrupting the order of things. Comes with many tools to manage your chat room.
