why use wetpaint over blogs, Google sites, wikis etc..

Hi
Just want to know why use wetpaint over the others mainly Google Sites. I have used all of them and I'm trying to decide which would be best for creating a site in creating digital stories plus other educational tools I teach and use. I guess I'm looking for a site that can be used as a web page but also allows teachers and students to post comments but not change pages.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks
Talitha

Wetpaint wiki's are perfect for teachers. Check out:

Page locking can stop students from changing pages.

Wetpaint's simple and easy WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) system means anyone can use it.

Well, I use Wetpaint instead of some other site creators because Wetpaint's free, and you can make a lot of new friends here. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Wetpaint is has a great community. I don't know any other free site to be nearly as friendly.
I had some blogs and sites before, but this is the only one where I can ask questions and get help or help others. I know that other free providers have forums for questions about their free sites, but they don't seem very user friendly.
Also, I can make this site with my friends, which is better than working alone.
