Being approved as an educational site

I have applied to have my wiki approved as an educational site. How will I be notified if this has been approved and approximately how long after my application should I expect an answer? I am concerned that my site will be viewed only as a professional facility when in fact, it will serve as resource for students and grad-students as well. Do you find this valuable?
