orientation is knowing your own way around the site: tools, links, adding content, ect.

"orientation is knowing your own way around the site: tools, links, adding content, ect."Wetpaint Orientation is designed to help you learn Wetpaint site basics, such as how to edit pages or add threads. Depending on your previous activity (e.g. inviting a friend) you are given a percentage (e.g. 40%, 80%) of your Orientation. -Mileystella 4 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

I think we should get rid of orientation. I already know all the stuff.

Well, after sometime you're at the wiki and you reach a number of contributions, the Orientation does reach to 100% even if you don't do the things it tells you to, like Invite a Friend, Add a pic etc.Well that's what I noticed. Do you find this valuable? |

"I think we should get rid of orientation. I already know all the stuff."I agree w/ DerCat. We SHOULD get rid of it, but there is a problem, in the Orientation, there are thoes videos. Of cource, we could just move those here, to WPC. We COULD do that, but, I bet there is another reason why it is still there. Somepeople I know felt like they HAD to do it all then and their. I mean, you can end up doing it w/o even knowing your doing it. ( Excluding the videos. ) ~Naru2008 Do you find this valuable? |

But what about Wetpaint Newbies? If there's no orientation, how can they learn how to use stuff? They wouldn't know what WPC is.

"But what about Wetpaint Newbies? If there's no orientation, how can they learn how to use stuff? They wouldn't know what WPC is. "Yeah, there is that problem too if we delete it. How about each site copies the videos and tell the people new to Wetpaint about WP & WPC on a page on each site. ~Naru2008 Do you find this valuable? |

I feel that there should be a single orientation done by each account. Once you complete the orientation on one site, you will already know how to complete it on another. So having us complete an orientation on every site we join is somewhat pointless. It is still needed though for those who are new to Wetpaint, so that they can at least understand the basic features.

Yeah. This suggestion is wonderful.(that WP Orientation be only on the first site the user joins) Do you find this valuable? |

I think the Orientation is a good idea. It is pretty helpful. Especially when you first join a site.
