How do you make it so EVERY discussion thread ever posted in my site brings an email notification? Every response? 3  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

I don't think this is possible. You cannot keep a check on every activity on your wiki.
The least you can do is:
Select the Watch Page option on EVERY page. That way you will receive a notification for thread posted on every page that you are watching.
