Top Contributors Box

I think creators of wikis should be able to choose who gets into the top contributors box. Because in my site, the people in the box are just new members, and they aren't top contributors at all. So since it's called the "Top Contributos Box" I think we should be able to choose who gets to be in it. Reply if you like my idea! 1 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

Members who have just joined have one contribution, and that's for creating the profile, and they get listed in the Top Contributors Box. It isn't that members with recent contributions get listed. I had replied to so many help threads on WPC and I wasn't there just a sec after that. Though one member with just one contribution was there. Why? 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

I think it takes the top few thread posters, the top few page editors, and some of the people who come up first alphabetically.

There is a pattern going on with the Top contributors box. For the players who's username appear first, second...etc, on the members page, they're names appear in the Top contributors box, no matter how many contributions they have.
Do you find this valuable?

Yeah, the Top contributors box isn't the "Top Contributors Box" anymore, it's now only a "Contributors Box"

wetpaint has had complaints about this since it first came out. It takes what Ripplesong said. It puts users with less contributions there to "share" and help that user get more friends, and share profiles, etc.

This box is nothing but a random members' box, which lists anyone it feels like. Ripplesong is right. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |
