Member Order By Total Contributions

When we go to the "View All Members" page, we have several options of the sequence in which we can see the members. One is Total Page Edits, another Total Threads, and so on. There should be one more. When we open a profile we see the "Contributions" tab at the last, and it shows the total number of contributions made by the User. This should also be there to sequence the site members. This means that the Threads and Page Edits are added and the No.1 Contributor can be displayed.

You can see top contributors at top contributors widget/bar (is that thing called a widget? or how... ?)Still, it might be a nice idea, to see all your users listed by contributions, especially if you have many members. 4 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

Well, the easy way is just to add up the page edits and the thread posts and compare them with all the users.

I mean, to satisfy this demand, you need to have less members, a calculator, and good math brain. It would be better if Wetpaint had this feature that I have requested. 4 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

I like this idea because then you can see everyone, not just the top ten which is all you can see on a widget.

I like the idea. The "top contributers" thing i think is based off of threads, not threads and page edits. Because it matches the order of most threads on the members page perfectly.

This is an ok suggestion. I mean, it would be helpful, but there are many ways around it. I can count two different solutions to this problem without implanting this: 1. Use the Top Contributions Module to find out who has the most. 2. On the Member list, you can add up the total thread and page contributions to figure out who has the most contributions on the site. Pretty easy, just use a calculator. A problem is hiding their username from the list. If a user hides his username from the list and he is a Top Contributor, you will not see him on the Most Contributions Member Order, which would mess up the order. I am sure this would not happen often, but it is a small problem with this suggestion. Do you find this valuable? |

No, the Top Contributions Module is based off of both thread and page contributions. It is based off of who has the most contributions, based on thread and page contributions.

Hmmm... i guess that kind of makes sense. It follows the order of total threads perfectly, but i guess adding page edits couldn't make that much a difference.

It also resets every Thursday where you have to make some sort of contribution to be added back on to the list. For example if you have 5 members make a contribution on Thursday, then 5 new members join. The 5 new members will get the bottom 5 spots since they get the automatic 1 contribution. This is only the case if you do Top 10. It would be much better if it resets every month. Do you find this valuable? |

We want members in order till the last. Every member should be in the list. For example, if I want to make a ranking page, I can copy the order from the list and give the ranks. 2. As mentioned above, if the ranking page is updated, for instance, every two days, would we add the contributions that often? This method of adding and ranking is too long; open the Top page edits page, note down he Top members, open the Top threads page, note down the members, add them all... you know, some members who might have more than 500 threads on a site often have just one page contribution. So the thread topper won't be legible to reach the ranking page, which will, of course, be based on total contributions. What's about thinking so much? This is just a suggestion, if Wetpaint has no problem with it they'll add the feature. There's sure no harm in having one more. Do you find this valuable? |
