They removed it from the sidebar but have made it into a widget. Now, you can put it on any page you would like to. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

When you click easyedit, it is under the "Content Module" tab. Do you find this valuable?

I can find the Content Module tab within EasyEdit or anywhere else. Do I have to have the premium service? Thanks.

Not being able to see the Content modules indicates your site is set to being Private. You can monitor all your sites activities via the UPDATES tab on the toolbar. The Dashboard will allow you to look at page and thread updates to your wiki. Do you find this valuable?

Is your site private? Private sites will still have them located on the sidebar. If not it should be between Widget and Layout Zones.

I can see the Recent Site Activity and Users Contribution on the home page, but it's not showing any info - just the headings. I have had a private site from the beginning, so that has nothing to do with it - it used to show the last three edits. What changed? Do you find this valuable?

You are correct the place holders will be there on a Private site if they were placed there before it became private. Refresh your page and you should see this message in each of the modules.

Oops! This site is private so the data in this module cannot be shown.

The default for a newly created wiki home page is a two zone page with Recent Site Activity and User Contributions vertically aligned in the second zone. As soon as the site permissions change from something other than private to private, two things happen. 1. The two placeholders do not display data. 2. The Content Module tool is removed from the easyedit toolbar. Do you find this valuable?

Am I correct in understanding that, on private sites, both of the following occur: (1) Recent Site Activity and User Contributions (or in my case Top Contributors) appears on the left site, (2) they cannot be removed, but (3) nor will they ever display any data? This seems pointless, no? Either they must be present, in which case they should work; or (preferably) they should be removable? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

That's not correct - or at least it wasn't at one time. I STARTED my page as private, and never changed that status. The feed for "Recent Site Activity" and "User Contributions" worked just fine for months, and then just suddenly stopped. Besides, I don't see why the privacy setting should matter anyway - nobody can see the updates unless they have access and can sign in, in which case, they can just go to the "Updates" tab and see every change. The feed on the front page was just a convenience - one that I really enjoyed.

I started a private page just a few days ago and have the same question. On my page, below the menu, listed are Recent Site Activity and Top Contributors. Under each, it just says "Loading ..." and never says anything else (i.e., it doesn't work). I just want to remove both of them. They're not relevant for my site, and their presence is both cluttering and makes the site looks nonfunctional.

Good point. If we can't have it functional, I'd rather it not be there at all. Do you find this valuable?

I just wanted to update those that are following this thread that sometime within the past few hours, this feature started working again on my priviate site - and, again, my site's privacy setting has not changed since it began. So, it has nothing to do with the site's privacy setting, but whatever it was is fixed now, apparently. Do you find this valuable?
