I think that being able to create our own group of messaging contacts would be very useful. Like you know how we can now message only our friends right? Well, I think that we could create like one or two more groups and name it ourselves. **We should also be able to delete the contacts in that group/rename the whole group/ or delete the group altogether.~ Example of how it would be useful: Like for some warrior sites that have many members, like WCC2, the clans are filled to the rim with people who play cats. But everytime the clan leaders want to announce something like a cat being made a full warrior, they announce it to all the RUs, making a Lot of messages for them. So that particular leader who leaders, for example Mistclan, can make a group called Mistclan Members and list down the names of people playing cats in Mistclan. Then when he/she has an announcement to make, she could just click on Mistclan members and be able to message all the people in Mistclan without typing in each and every single username of each person. 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

I like this idea, too. The My Friends addition was a start in this direction. I don't know when the next step in adding groups to messaging will happen, but it's on our list of things to do.

A messaging box like in WAYN is superb. WAYN used to be a very nice place to socialize but it has become so commercialized lately and took away half the fun.

Very good suggestion! I have a select group of users who help me execute Public Relations events in Metropolis; this function would allow me to contact them more selectively.

Well said Aurora! This would be a very useful feature for me with my classroom wikis. Our sites are open to anyone so it is inconvenient to send a message to all RUs when I really only want to contact my 40 or 50 students.
