Really upset

I'm getting sick and tired of wetpaint freaking out on me whenever I do something. It screws up my entire computer! And it's not only ME, The same thing happens to my friend. And we live in different countires! Either explain what the heck is going on, or I'm going to get really upset and destroy my computer. (Sarcasm)

Yeah! Im the friend shes talking about. Wetpaint has been screwing up my computer the past month and I need to know what the heck you people are gonna do about it. Its bad enough Meebo spazzes on me but now wetpaint does it to! 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

I'm not sure what you mean. Can you be more specific about what is happening? Is there a URL that you can give me of a page that's behaving badly? What browser version and Operating System are you using? 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

No, you see, it happens when I copy and paste something onto a page.
If i get something, like a summary
go to a wetpaint site and go to my profile, start editing and hit paste
the mouse will flicker and the computer will freeze completely
I'm REALLY getting sick and tired of this.
Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesnt, either way im this close to losing my mind. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

I've heard of some people having trouble with Wetpaint but it went away. I don't know if this is the same case or not though... 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I'm having the same thing happen. I was able to copy and paste before-- from one page to another, from Word. But today, it started doing the exact same thing. Flickering mouse pointer, IE freezes, have to use Task Manager to close it. I tried rebooting, but that didn't help. I have IE 7.0.57.30.13, and WXP SP2. Very annoying-- I liked Wetpaint's interface, but if it doesn't work, I'll have to go elsewhere. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Glitches and bugs on a web site can be very annoying but try and remember that it can happen on any site at any time. There are allot of different things that can cause problems on a web site and I'm sure wetpaint has there hands full keeping thing running smoothly with over a million sites and a huge amount of traffic on there servers. I have found that the best thing to do is stay calm. This is not a perfect world and the Internet does wave its problems. Getting freaked out and blaming wetpaint will not solve your problems. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

update-- to try one last time, I tried shutting down, waiting a minute (instead of restarting), and then went to the site again. I also tried something different-- I created a new page, pasted the text there (it worked), copy and pasted the entire text from the page I was trying to paste to before (it worked), and then, went back and pasted to that original page I was trying to paste to (and it worked!). I have no idea what caused it to work again, since I had tried pasting several times, using task manager to shut down IE, and restarting the computer. Maybe it was just a matter of time before the wetpaint servers could handle that change? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

It doesnt matter what the URL is
It only happens with wetpaint sites

Your computer may be hanged. This happens when it is working a lot and has no time to relax. You must be working on many programs at the same time. Do one thing at one time and give the computer enough time to complete the task. This is not a because of bugs or Wetpaint, but because of your own behavior with the computer.
