Well, to be honest I find the portion of the update that makes the thread thing automatically appear kind of a nuisance.

I don't know about anyone else's opinion, but it is just another thing to close out of to me...much like unchecking the option to watch a thread/page or to automatically upload an image to the photo gallery.

In layman's term, it is another waste of time which can and will add up, much like being forced to constantly uncheck the 'upload to gallery" box when uploading photos.

Other than that, the send PM to My Friends option is something people have been asking for and should be a good feature....as should the content module.

One thing that I think could be done concerning threads is for Moderators and up to have the ability to move more than one thread at a time.

This could save me a lot of time on the wiki I am a Moderator on.

Yes, I agree. I think these updates were generally positive. To be honest, I am indifferent about the automatic thread prompt. The "send to my friends" option is great. Thanks Wetpaint!

I also like the content modules. Is this why my Droplets stopped working on my site?

Are Droplets still no longer working? What is your site URL? What browser are you using? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Actually, I noticed the one that was placed on the Eleventh Hour homepage wasn't working either. Do you find this valuable?

I agree. This open thread on every page is not a good idea. There should be a option to switch it off for experienced members. Being at the top hides the actual current threads that now may be missed by readers & replies will drop.

The other improvements are at least left for individual choice.

I was searching the site today for info on adding animated GIF to see promises that this would be looked at in 2006!!! Still not available though. As is moving individual posts which is a standard on Forums to start a new thread. Along with setting time zones to the country we are operating in. Why is Wetpaint not prioritizing long standing requests by a great many members?

Just my 2 cents

Uzi.

I don't rate any of the present changes as important, but I consider the time change as essential. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I like the new updates thanks for adding them, but it would be alot easier if you kept the Recent Site Activity.

Thanks for the input on the open threads. We're in the midst of making a number of enhancements to the Discussion Forums for our next release and will strongly consider your input on placement. New Discussion Forum features we're actively working on include some long-standing requests like the ability to edit your own posts, as well as lockable and featured threads (AKA 'sticky') for moderators. 4  out of 4 found this valuable. I agree- I would like the option of turning it off. A few members on my page said they didn't care for it. Where do I go to see what else has changed?
Thanks

I agree. The option to turn off the the new thread thing would be great as most people on the Luke and Noah fans wiki find it annoying (myself included).

The editing your own posts and the sticky threads are great ideas though.
