"We are currently testing out display banner advertising across the Wetpaint network of sites because we’re committed to keeping Wetpaint a free service. The way we defer the costs of Wetpaint is by placing advertising on your Wetpaint sites. Until recently, we primarily used Google advertising. Earlier this year, Google made a significant change to their advertising product. During this test, we’ll be trying an assortment of different ad networks to see which provides the best balance between user experience and revenue. To be clear, we find the aggressively flashing, bouncing, and music playing ads to be unacceptable. We’ve made efforts to keep them out of the mix.
