customiz URL

If we customized url, how will it effect the index of search engine. How will search engine crawl it?If later on I decide to uncustomize url is that ok? Also if i want to host my wetpaint on a different hosting company like yahoo, what do I need to do? Jeremy please help answer my question! I don't think a custom URL will have any affect on what rank your site is like a google search. But it will be easier for people to find who search in the URL box. For example, say your site was called "http://dogs.wetpaint.com/" No one would enter that URL if they wanted to find a website. But if your URL was "http://www.dogs.com" people would be ore likely to find it. Hope this helps!
