Profile?

Are you required to have a profile to create an account? What do you put on in a profile? It can't be anything that is REALLY personal, or else people can get uncomfortably close to someone, right? Sorry if I sound dumb, but I just don't know! 5  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

This is actually good that you ask! Other people will know after this about profiles and making accounts.

The answer to you first question is:
By default, you have a profile when you join. So, in a sense, yes.

Second question:
You don't have to put anything on your profile page. But some people like to get to know you to be able to answer your questions better. Or if you answer questions, (this question stuff is referring to Wetpaint, you don't necessarily have to answer questions on your own wiki) they can figure out if the answers you give are credible. The profile is just a way for people to tell about themselves if they so choose.

Hope this helps!

A profile is important for a few reasons:
1. People can become familiar with you, and you don't have to tell people who you are each time you make an anonymous post.
2. People can see all of your contributions, and you will receive credit for them.
3. If you break the rules, a Mod+ can ban you.
