Size question

If I would wish to create a banner the size of the entire banner space on top, how big (width X length) would it have to be?

Depends on how wide your screen is. It will also vary by the screen widths of all of your visitors. Your best bet is to make something that blends in on the right side. Do you find this valuable?

to insure that it will fit on the majority of your members screens, set your screen size to around 1024 by 1268, then enlarge your banner to fit the entire top of the screen. Do you find this valuable?
