Copying and pasting tables
Dec 11 2008, 2:18 PM EST | Post edited: Dec 11 2008, 2:18 PM EST
I have been cutting and pasting tables into my wetpaint sites since September (I have them set up with colors and borders, etc. and it's just easier to cut and paste for a new week than to start from scratch). The last few times I have tried to do this, as soon as I "paste" the computer acts like it's thinking, and the cursor blinks super-fast and nothing gets copied. I wait and wait and nothing happens, I eventually have to close the progam down using task manager. Not sure why I could do this before and can't do it now...can you help? Thanks...sites are www.eidellhbio.wetpaint.com and www.eidellxicpe.wetpaint.com 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I have had the same problem, and I think it started with the November 1st table upgrade.
Please fix this bug!

It also just happened when I tried to make a new table on a page that already has a table.
I am also experiencing these problems with XP, Vista, and IE7 and on multiple computers.

I have been trying to reproduce this behavior with no luck. Does it still occur today? If so, please respond with the wiki and page name of a place where this happens to you, and I will investigate.

After pasting/saving, width of some tables increases automatically; and, this bug prevents me from reaching/editing long page bottoms. Only after deleting the tables I am able to reach/edit the bottom of the long pages. This problem occurs only with long pages that has many tables.

I just got IE7 to "run away" when I pasted the contents of the eidellhbio home page. So there's definitely a problem, and it's something reproducible, so we can investigate it.

However, I had no problem pasting the contents in Firefox 3. Is it possible for you to use Firefox instead of IE while we look into this problem?

That is a known bug on Internet Explorer 7. Try using Firefox.
