More accurate log on error messages

Is it possible to have the log on scrip errors more accurately reflect the error? Rather than have the same error message ("we can't find you ....") appear for every log on error, it would be nice to have errors that actually stated what the problem is/was. Might save the staff some effort as well? just an idea. Do you find this valuable?
