Updating my permissions

I have gone to the Permissions tab and changed it to say that my wiki will only be editable by invited members, but I cannot seem to change my role from creator to writer or moderator. Any idea what could be causing this?

You definitely don't want to change your own permissions because you risk locking yourself out of important editing functions. If you take a look at this chart: http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Sites+That+Require+Invitation you'll see what each user type is able to do on the site.

Why would you want to downgrade your site abilities anyway?

It is impossible to change your self from creator to any other permission. You can cancel your membership and than come back, but you would only be a registered user. Do you find this valuable?
