Making one of those amazing race tables?

How do u make a table which has like 10 rows, 1 column, then 9 rows, 1 column? I don't getit... Do you find this valuable?

For a chart like that, you will have to make several tables. One for each column.

Or you can merge a couple of cells together. Select 2 or more cells in a table, right click, then select Merge Cells. Do you find this valuable?
