Go to : http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14266&sliceId=1 and download Flash Player 9 archive zip. Install it and start uploading your photos again. I just did it. Cheers! 19  out of 25 found this valuable. Do you?

I have chosen 9r45_win , and it did the job! However, you can use any windows compatible 9x version. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

It is also a good idea to restart your computer after you got rid of Flash Player 10, before installing Flash Player 9x. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I am glad to hear that the solution I've suggested works for everybody. However, I believe that morally it would have been wetpaint.com's responsibility to right away contact Adobe and provide this temporary solution to its users. Let's hope that next time they will be more helpful. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

We did contact Adobe and were told to force all users to upgrade to Flash 10. Since that's not an acceptable solution, we've had to come up with one on our own. We've been testing a fix for the last few days which we hope to have out today. Thanks for your patience. 4  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

Thanks for the fix...and I can't believe that Adobe was forcing people to upgrade to version 10; I had to go to their site and download an archived version of 9 just to be able to upload photos.

It would be better for whoever wrote your JavaScript-triggered file-upload utility to put the button in Flash, rather than JavaScript. A simple update to the utility would work better than going back to older software.

That's exactly the fix that we implemented last week. The button is now drawn in Flash. If the Flash version is too old or is being blocked by a browser addon, it's much easier to spot. It appears that a vast majority of our users are now having no problem uploading images.

The main problem we face, JD, is that many of our users cannot update their Flash versions or modify their browser plugins because of security settings on their machines. They're in government or education settings, so we can't force the Flash 10 upgrade.

Understood. Thanks for updating the SWF!

If you've got a large audience of locked-intranet installations, then you can still make a SWF9 that uses the Flash button for uploads, right? That way they can use either Player 9 or Player 10 to run it.

Hi Folks
Flash10a.ocx causes me a ton of problems when online and keeps shutting IE down.

A RESULT
Found a response to on the Web suggesting installing Mozilla Firefox - YES FINALLY RESOLVED! It may not be the answer people are looking for but it does resolve the issue for now.

NO RESULTS
I did all of the following with no results
Uninstalled FlashPlayer 10a and installed again a zillion times.
Ran software to fix registry problems a zillion times.

Search adobe for the answer a zillion times which just prompted me to re-install again.

Even installed flash9 which used to work but I still encountered the same problems which suggest that MSN are possibly at fault but Im no expert.

SUMMARY
This situation is not good. It must be affecting a zillion people out there. MSN and Adobe - get your act together - this is an outrage, took me weeks to sort out.
