Insertable code fragments

I think there should be a new widget that allows you to insert HTML code fragments. It would be easy to implement and those who know what they are doing could use/edit it. It would be more like Publisher, with the WYSIWYG, but with code support. 7  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

Someone else asked a similar question, here is the reply:

host the page somewhere else and embed it with <iframe>'s, or upload the file as an attachment, then iframe the attachment into the page.

"host the page somewhere else and embed it with <iframe>'s, or upload the file as an attachment, then iframe the attachment into the page."
I have done this in the past and find it inconvenient but it works. As for adding HTML editing, I agree strongly. People have been asking Wetpaint for HTML editing for over two years. If this is because it is too hard to add at the moment or because Wetpaint doesn't want as many users I am not sure. But one thing to me is certain: People want to edit HTML.

As I said in another thread: I have come upon many a problem that have only been considered. Nothing has EVER in Wetpaint history had anything done about them. This isn't going to look good when people are looking for site builders. Eventually Wetpaint will lose advertisers because the people advertising will see that Wetpaint and its sites are losing traffic. This is what WILL happen if Wetpaint continues to be this naive.

This was rude of me, I will admit, but I was fueled by anger at the time. Right now I am being patient, for in time Wetpaint will add the ability to edit HTML, but until then, we must wait.

Hope This Helps!
