do hits in IFRAME websites count?

I'm administering a new page, and want to highlight some relevant blogs using IFRAME widgets. I'm worried, though, that if people view those blogs via my site, the blog site itself may not receive a hit that's counted. Do you know if pages viewed through frames are credited with a hit? I don't want to create traffic for bloggers that is then not counted (or worse, detract from their counted traffic). Do you find this valuable?

The blog will receive a hit. IFrames provide a fully functional website inside a website which means the hit counter will pick it up.

It is impossible for it took take away hits.
