why cant i be googled?
Oct 20 2008, 7:28 PM EDT
what have i done wrong that makes my site un-googleable.
i can get people to it IF they go to wetpaint & search for it from there, but not from a search engine no its own.
i see that others are able to, so i must conclude that i have done sothing wrong.

I have the same question... Paddock Paradise is two months old today, and it will not show up on a search engine.

Here's some info on the subject for you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_engine_optimization#Getting_indexed

It's also worth reading the article from the beginning so that you get a better understanding of how search engines function.

site:paddockparadise.wetpaint.com

Enter that into the google search field. It clearly shows that some pages on your site have been indexed.

The biggest issue I see with SEO on your site is that your pages aren't interlinked very well. Take a look at the section of the Promote page that shows which pages are missing inbound and outbound links.

Sometimes google has different search results for different geographic areas. Are you in a country other than the US? 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Thanks, I didn't know the interlinking was important, or how to find the site map. I'll work on making more links between pages on the site. I had seen that on the promote page, but thought it was just about getting people to move around the site, which they can do just as well from the menu... There is a big article about to come out about slow feeding horses in Horse Journal, and I want folks who read it to be able to find my site to get more ideas. Thanks for the advice.

yes we are from little old New Zealand, with a site called "The Socialist Republic of NZ".

thus making better policy's."

we are a group of like (& some times unlike) inderviduals (not a political party) working together to develop a better way forward.

Quote: "Our intention is to create a forum to which people of all backgrounds can constructively work together on developing well rounded policy's as apposed to party line policy's."
"It is our belief that it is no good to just appose an ill thought out policy or bill, but better to come forward with an alternative that has under gone scrutiny. Or better yet do so from the get go."

It may be due to the fact that there's already a site called http://paddockparadise.com/ Therefore renaming the site might be worth considering.

There's a search engine called http://clusty.com which produces the results of a search in clusters which might be worth looking at. That way, you can get an idea of what webmasters are calling their sites based on the content of it. Type in "paddockparadise" to get results.

And if it's any consolation, you can also type in "paddockparadise.wetpaint.com" as a search string which will show that somebody on a site called Horse Council BC has mentioned your site as a good place to go for info. :)
