HELP!!!! ARGH!!!

Okay, a reaaaaally good site, magicalworld1.wetpaint.com, was pretty much closed down by an admin. She was one of three admins including myself who made decisions for the site due to the lack of a creator. So, without consulting us, she banned everyone and made the thing private. Now, no one can get in. A friend of mine would really like to re-create the site, so we need the character descriptions and the page layouts and stuff to do it. I was wondering if wetpaint could make me an admin so I can get the information I need and get out. PLEASE!?!?!?!?!?

They can, but I can pretty much guarantee it that they won't trust you completely. This is a classic vandal/hacker trick, so be careful.

Yea, I know...It happened ot our site, too, but it got back. I was a genuine admin there. A top contributor...Everything! And this girl thinks she can kick us all out and make one of her own. It's private, to boot. We need to start over...It was a really great site.

She (the rogue admin) was supposed to re-open it and invite all the others back in...She hasn't. So, me and an old mod there have decided to take matters into our own hands.

I think it's a bit rash of you (Galestorm) to ask for adminship on a website that no one seems to be sure about. As I said "anonymously" above, your claims cannot be fully trusted. It is probably better for you to create a new website and do one of the following: a) Create a new website and rebuild it to be better than the last. b) Create a new website, copy all material from the previous website onto it, then ask Wetpaint to side with you should the time come. I recommend A. It's your best option here. However, I leave it in the hands of Jason (seeing as I have no official power or privacy whatsoever), to make the final decision. Okay. It used to be number 3 on the top 500! Check it, if you must! We need the original material...And as for not being sure, I'm not too sure what you mean. It was a pretty famous site, to us, at least...After getting the material I need, I'd shut the site down properly.

I don't think she has a right to do that, unless she was the chief Admin. She should have asked the other Administrators before doing that... but I don't understand, why would she shut down the site? Are there ANY members on it who are not banned?

I'm the only one left, it seems. She was NOT chief admin...She justified her decision by saying some "I was most active therefore I am the best" crap.
