INTERNAL SEARACH NEEDED
Oct 5 2008, 4:06 PM EDT
Thread started: 1 minute ago Un-Watch I'm building a new wiki, LEAGUE FOR A DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC and added a page ARTICLES, to which I have invited members to post their own articles [see: http://leaguedemorepub.wetpaint.com/page/ARTICLES ]. We need an INTERNAL SEARCH ENGINE and have the same ability to create keyword tags within each title, abstract and article.as does THREADS. WETPAINT: when a new page is created, please add a search dialogue box for searches internal to that page. BETTER YET, expand the existing SEARCH to include keyword tags embedded anywhere in the website. Jim Miller jimmiller5417@yahoo.com Do you find this valuable? |

Searching within the page you're looking at is easily handled by your web browser. ctrl-f on Windows or cmd-f on a Mac.The search box that exists above the navigation is internal to your wiki. It's not immediately updated, but anything edited in the wiki should be searchable within an hour, usually much less. You can add keyword tags to any page or thread, and you can even create keyword tag groups for meta-searches. Do you find this valuable? |

Jason:Thanks for the control - F. It works. However the search box above the nav bar could only find file names, text in thread titles and photographs -- the progam says as much. Do you find this valuable? |

Our search finds pages, threads, and posts that contain the text seached for and pages, threads, posts, and photos that are named with the text searched for. It's an all-inclusive search on your wiki.If you have an example of something that's not being found through search on your wiki, please let me know the specifics. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
