Easy Edit button has disappeared for two users.

Two days ago (September 30, 2008) we had one of our users that experienced the disappearance of the Easy Edit button.Today, we discovered another user has lost her Easy Edit button for the second time. Hers had also "disappeared", then re-appeared. Note: When I say "disappeared" this means it was totally gone, not just made invisible as some others have mentioned. The browser being used is IE6, and the Operating System is Windows XP Pro. There are three wikis that she (user 1) noticed this disappearance on: http://propertytax.wetpaint.com/ (a private wiki) (role = creator) http://tsdintranet.wetpaint.com/ (a private wiki) (role = moderator) http://insitewiki.wetpaint.com/ (a private wiki) (role = moderator) I have made sure that: Users are signed into the wiki. (each of them) Cookies have been cleared. Temporary Internet files have been deleted. Popup Blocker is disabled. Cookies are enabled. Has anyone any ideas? User 1 has been missing her Easy Edit for two days now. Another clue - the Easy Edit button was available to this user ONLY on her own profile page. Today, we also discovered that it seems isolated to her computer, and can see the Easy Edit when using another PC.

Please make sure that third-party cookies are also enabled. Has another browser on that machine been tried? The problem being specific to that machine tells me there's a browser issue at play here.

Firefox installation fixed the IE6 problem. Not too sure if we will ever discover what happened in IE6. Thanks!

4. Easy Edit button has disappeared for ME as well....

How do I get it back? I started the site and want to keep using it, but if I cannot edit things (as of Monday 6th), it won't be helpful!

The answer to your question first is no, the posting of "ME as well...." is not related to the first posting that I did. When investigating this symptom, I found that several users claimed the same problem, but very few would offer any details as to what they were doing. As you probably know, the responses are slow and tedious guesses as to what could be wrong. I sure agree that people that post problems should at least - say what browser/version, what site/sites, are they logged into the site in question, and delete the temporary files and cookies. For the original posting, we found that changing the browser was the only fix that worked. Nice try on the others though. Thanks for your help on trying to understand the other posting.
