I haven't found a way to add a bookmark to my page, so assume bookmarking is not supported. Any plans to do so in the future?

Thanks,
Robert

I'm not exactly sure what you mean be add a bookmark to your page. Could you please describe what you are trying to do? Click Ctrl+D. Is that what you are trying to do? Or were you trying to bookmark on delicious? Do you find this valuable?

I'd like to add a link on one page of a wetpaint site which would point to a specific entry on another page on the same site. Here's the scenario I'm looking at::

1) I have a list of musician names @ http://ottawajazz.wetpaint.com/page/Musicians.
2) I have a list of music groups - including a listing individual members - @ http://ottawajazz.wetpaint.com/page/Groups.
3) I'd like to make links between the individual members listing on the groups page to that person's individual entry on the musicians page. A bookmark assigned to each entry on the musicians page would give me the necessary reference to use on the groups page.

Hope that helps,
Robert

From what I understand, you'd like to essentially assign a scroll value as a bookmark? Unfortunately, this is not possible at this time. How about making individual pages for each musician? Do you find this valuable?

I'm not familiar with scroll values. Here's an example of sorts from Wikipedia of what I mean: the Contents listing @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jazz uses bookmarks to take you immediately to the appropriate place on the page for each listing in the Contents menu. For example, the first link in the Contents list, "Origins", links to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jazz#Origins - the bookmark (signified by "#") for Origins. Clicking on "Origins" in the menu takes you immediately to the "Origins" entry on the page. If the link for "origins" was http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/soul_music#Origins it would take you to the "Origins" entry on the "soul_music" page. I hope that makes my question clearer.

As bookmarking does not appear to be currently possible on Wetpaint, I'd like to suggest it as something to be considered for addition in the future. Unfortunately I can't see how I can use Wetpaint to set up a viable community page for this particular project without this feature.

Thanks for the "one page per musician" workaround suggestion. Unfortunately having a seperate page for each musician would result in hundreds of links in the menu and be too unwieldy to manage, especially on a Wiki.

Thanks again for your feedback,
Robert

What you're asking for is commonly referred to as an Anchor. Wetpaint does not currently support in-page anchors, although it may be something we implement in the future. Do you find this valuable?

Aha! That's what I get for sticking with my copy of FrontPage 2000, written back in the days when the term "bookmarks" was still alive and kicking. Thanks again - Robert Do you find this valuable?
