I'm trying to embed .docstoc, which is listed in the widgets dialog box. But the code gets rejected. What am I doing wrong? How do I embed a .docstoc document in my Wetpaint site? Do you find this valuable?

Wetpaint doesn't allow HTML. They allow only EMBED and iFrame codes.

Make sure the code you're entering is not HTML. If you still have problems, let us know ...! Do you find this valuable?

Thanks. I was able to switch to Scribd.com and embed a widget from there with a document. Why was it so easy with Scribd and impossible with .docstoc when Wetpaint specifically mentions .docstoc and thereby intimating that widgets from that application will work? Do you find this valuable?

I share your bemusement.

The code docstoc generates uses the 'object' tag and wetpaint rejects the use of that tag. I do not see how that could possibly work.

Even when I rewrote the code using the 'embed' tag that wetpaint does like, I had a widget that could be displayed but still didn't really work (no document preview and no list of my documents). Do you find this valuable?
