will custom URL override wetpaint URL, or redirect?

I don't want the URL that I currently have. If I go with a custom URL, will it completely override the old URL, or will it just redirect to the old URL? 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

If you buy a domain name and set it up properly, it will replace the .wetpaint.com URL, just like it does here on Wetpaint Central, which is really wetpaintcentral.wetpaint.com.

There are ways to get a free domain name, but I haven't seen one that will be a true DNS replacement. Most of them do redirects, and some of them do frames, which may cause problems. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?
