How can I put a banner for my wiki at the top of my page?

Hi, I was wondering if you could please help me? I would like to put a banner at the top of my page before the home, disscussions etc. Does anyone know how?

these sites have done it,

they have the giants banner at the top of their page

http://csi.wetpaint.com/

they have the csi banner at the top of their page
