Invite students to educational wiki
Sep 11 2008, 2:23 PM EDT
I am setting up private wikis for my students. Most of my students do not have email. I would like to set up a fake email for the use of this wiki only. The problem is that I cannot send invitations and get replies. I am desperate to get this going because we have a lot of work that we want to do in the wiki. Please give me suggestions for getting my student signed up without email. Do you find this valuable?

It would be easier to sign them all up for one of these email accounts:

www.hotmail.com/ - Hotmail
mail.google.com/ - gMail
mail.yahoo.com/ - Yahoo! Mail

But if you do not want to do this you can go to Settings (whilst signed in), go to the permissions tab and make your wiki public until all your students join your website.

Ronan - Why not try "Search this Wiki" in the top-left corner of the page? It will reduce thread numbers and give you more detailed information! http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/account/DigitalX
