user permissions per page

Can I set the user profiles to where only certain users can edit certain pages but not others while still having all members in the same site? I want to make one wiki for a class and have separate pages for each group. I don't want other group members to edit another groups page. Do you find this valuable?

There are not page-by-page security settings available, but you can lock any page you like (this option is in the More Tools pulldown menu). This prevents anyone lower than a moderator from editing the page. You will not be able to specify certain users though.

Why not create a main class wiki site that links to a "sub-wiki" run by each class group? Each member can be a moderator and they can lock all pages. This will allow only them to make edits but still allow all students to visit, view, and make comments on other groups' sites.
