WAITING THREE DAYS FOR A HELP REPLY
Sep 3 2008, 6:59 PM EDT I REPORTED A BUG, EARLY (2:00 AM) MONDAY, ON THIS DISSUSSION FORUM, HAVE EMAILED VIA FEEDBACK AND SENT AN EMAIL VIA INFO BUT HAVE NOT GOTTEN ANYTHING. THE WIKI I AM TRYING TO BUILD IS FOR MY STUDENTS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA. DUE TO THE BUG, I CAN NOT MOVE FORWARD. SEE THREAD TITLED FRUSTRATED EDUCATOR. I WILL HAVE TO DUMP THIS IDEA AND MOVE ON IF I DO NOT GET ANY ASSISTANCE WHICH IS A SHAME NOT JUST FOR ME BUT FOR MY STUDENTS. I AM AT A STANDSTILL AND WOULD BE APPRECIATIVE OF ANY HELP. Sep 3 2008, 7:48 PM EDT I tried that - cleared out cookies and cache, changed the security settings, used IE7, downloaded and installed Mozilla, tried it on three different computers but now luck. The popup message said - Oops, you have found an error in our system - how embrassing for us. Do you find this valuable? |

Sep 3 2008, 8:00 PM EDT You tripped across an old problem that's come back on us. We used to prevent people from being able to rename their pages to '.' or '..', but somehow that validation got lost in the last few months. The reason that we prevent people from doing that is because it can cause all kinds of problems, which you've experienced. I manually renamed your home page in our database and we'll be adding that validation back into our system as soon as we can. Do you find this valuable? |
