Writers, How do you make them?

Im not sure how to ask this question butI have a few sites and i dont want Registered memebers to make pages. I know that writers can make pages and edit them if they are unlocked. But how do you make writers? How do you let people apply? Please answer. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"Im not sure how to ask this question butGo to the member's profile/account that you want to apply them as a Writer or something else then look bellow the buttons that say "send message" and say "send compliment" there should be a button that says "change permission" click on it then choose which role you want to give the member too. but i mean like on a certian Wiki you can apply to be one then the admins and mods decide when you can be one i just thought there was a way to make this setting happen

You need to set the permission scheme on your wiki so that only Invited members can contribute.
