Edit system freezes when I try to link
Sep 1 2008, 7:23 AM EDT When I try to create internal links from the EasyEdit toolbar, the page regularly freezes. I am doing the following: 1. Highlight text. 2. Click on "Link" on the EasyEdit toolbar. 3. When the "Add Link" dialogue box appears, I click on Find Page 4. Next the "Select a Location" dialogue box appears. At this point, the page freezes. I can run my cursor over the page, but I cannot click on anything. If I click on a different window, then try to return to the window/page I'm editting, I get a blank frame. All I can do at that point is close Internet Explorer. (Sometimes I'm able to close just that window; other times I have to close it through the Task Manager. The problem has been intermitent - not everytime; but it seems now to happen almost always. Testing it just now it seems to happen always on one Wiki I am running, but not the other. I seem to be able to create links without trouble on this Wiki: http://sc2218.wetpaint.com/ But the function regularly freezes (but not always) on this Wiki: http://sc6214.wetpaint.com/ I am using Internet Explorer 7 on Windows XP. Do you find this valuable? |
