Jul 20 2008, 7:23 AM EDT Any future enhancements to the Discussion forums on the cards? Its just my forums are stating to get buzzing and I fear some threads may get lost to the wind..for example I cant 'stick' a thread to the top of the forum. I would like to better organise the threads into specific areas, so all say XBox threads would go in one 'folder' and PS3 in another etc... Or are we going to have to make do with setting up an external forum specific account and linking to that...I would rather keep everything in house thean getting members to sign up to another site kust to be able to discuss things with each other 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Aug 26 2008, 1:23 PM EDT This is a good point. The forum on Wetpaint is an incredibly underused resource. I totally understand what bhafc87 is saying. My site ( www.guzzista.wetpaint.com ) has quite a number of members. Somer like to post on the discussion forum. Many don't because it is so basic and they are used to more advanaced facility. I took the decision to create a phpbb based forum and it iseally buzzing. We have just upgraded to phpbb3 and it not only works really well, but looks amazing ( www.guzzista.myclan.me.uk ). The downside is I now have members split into two camps. If the wetpaint forum was phpbb compatible, or if they could be embedded, wetpaint sites would be amazingly active...much more so than they are now. I would plead with you tolook into this as it really could take wetpaint to a whole new level! Do you find this valuable? |
