OPENID + full account signup = why bother?

Um, what is the point of having OpenID signup capability if you still have to fill in all the account ID information to join? It's meant to make the sign-in process far simpler, but the way you've implemented it here, it actually adds a step to the process. Fail?

OpenID is for authentication, not account creation. Name, email address, and birthdate (as proof of age) are required to create an account, and that information isn't given by OpenID. 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?
