"If you'd like us to fix the problem, you need to tell us the URL of the wiki you're having trouble editing. Many times the problem is that there's multiple setting that conflict. For instance, a center on text while it's contained in a table cell that's set of left. Or italics on a Heading.

MS Word does all kinds of unnecessary formatting on text that doesn't work on the web. I recommend pasting into Notepad first."

"I am also having problems with this. I am currently writing Bios for characters from an anime show, and often my formatting gets lost thru the saving process for some reason. Example: After I saved a paragraph, it showed the whole thing was italisized, but when I went into Easy Edit, it shows it isn't! I can't fix a problem I can't see, so the whole thing remains Italisized, it's not a major problem, it 's just a little frustrating. Also, when doing definitions (i.e. having a term underlined, then a " - " sign, then the definition of the word), it at times bunches all the terms together into one paragraph and centers it, even though I left enough space and left aligned it. I even re-typed the whole thing in Word and pasted it back on the page, with the same result. I ended up having to do the whole thing w/ bulleted listing, but the weird thing is, all the rest of the definitions in subsequent sections on the same page retain my original formatting! I guess I wrote a lot, sry, don't mean to complain so much, it's just a little frustrating when you have something you want looking good, then for some reason it get messed up when you save it, lol.
