Attached Files Don't Work
Jul 10 2008, 6:05 AM EDT | Post edited: Jul 10 2008, 6:05 AM EDT
I have tried adding files (pdfs, spreadheets, maybe docs) to wiki pages. Upload seems to go ok, but when I try to view the attached docs I always get a "connection reset by server" message instantly.
Here is an example: http://bcrim.wetpaint.com/page/Interim+Report+to+Board+-+July+2008

Using Firefox 2.0.0.15 (but tried it with at least one other brand of browser and got the same result) with XP Home sp2.

The PDF file on this link loaded fine for me. Where are you trying to access this file from? For example, is it a public/university computer. There may be Firewall settings preventing you from downloading files. Try from a home or other private computer and see if you are able to view an attachment from there. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Bingo. I use Zone Alarm Pro. When I turned it off the attachments loaded. Now I need to figure out how to set ZAP so the attachments load when the firewall is running. Not a Wet Paint issue I think but, If you happen to know how to do this, I would love to hear from you.

Thanks.

No need to send instructions for ZAP. I am fiddling with it and getting better results.

Thanks again.
