I think, you should work on your wiki-home page and then ask people to visit your site. You know the word-'First Impression '...
Once a visitor doesn't get impressed by the home-page, he/she leaves the wiki right then and doesn't bother to visit it again..., no matter how much info your wiki have.

Try surfacing the best content on the home-page. I think that'll boost up the number of visitors and registered members...
