Widgets Won't Load Anymore
Jul 3 2008, 6:30 AM EDT Hello, My wiki is located http://stbedes.wetpaint.com I have several widgets loaded in my wiki, generally one per page. They were working fine up until 2 days ago, when they simply stopped loading. They load fine on my blog on a different site. I do not receive an error message. The page just hangs forever, saying 1 item remaining in the bottom of the browser. This occurs on Explorer 7, Explorer 6 (the two that I have tried so far today). Thank you. Jul 3 2008, 8:17 AM EDT Have you tried using another internet browser called Flock, because I have and the widget on the homepage loads up fine for me. Do you find this valuable? |

I haven't tried that but they all loaded just fine on Explorer until two days ago. Even though they do load in that browser, I need the error fixed so they're viewable in all browsers, especially Explorer, as that is what's loaded on all the school computers where pupils will be working on the pages. Jul 3 2008, 11:02 AM EDT They're all loading for me in IE7 without a problem. Since you're only having trouble with IE on certain machines, try clearing the browser cache and cookies on those machines. Jul 4 2008, 5:20 AM EDT Hello again, As stated in the previous posts, I am having problems with loading widgets at http://stbedes.wetpaint.com The suggestion of clearing browser cache and cookies seemed to work fine on my laptop at home, using IE 7. I came back into school today to try doing the same on these machines, and it didn't work. The widgets still won't load, even after clearing everything. This is on IE 7 as well. I just went and asked our IT support guys for some help, and the pages wouldn't load on their machines either (using Mozilla and IE 7) and they are now stumped and suggested I aksed the site for some more input. These pages were created to use in a presentation next week to our Admin in a bid to convince them to integrate this technology (and support us to get the resources to do so)...but it is not going to be very impressive if I can't get the pages to load. Any further help is much appreciated. Thank you. Do you find this valuable? |
