the Supernatural Wiki Contests

i have recently started doing contests, and they work out great. the members love them. every month we hold a new contest based on everyones votes. we choose prizes relevent to the show Supernatural (because thats what the site is about) that every fan would love. we started out small on the prizes, just to see how it would work out. since it turned out to be such a great success, we have larger prizes now, which encourages more people to join and try their best to win. i suggest contests for every wiki site capable of doing so. it brings a lot of new members to your site and its fun for everyone =) some contest ideas i recommend: best member profile best banner art (for your site, or just for fun) best story/fanfic (best for tv/movie/book fan sites) best member drawing etc... there are a lot of cool contests you can choose from.. just use your imagination =) my favorite part of the contests is when you announce the winners. their reactions are generally surprised and excited which is always nice to hear. i have never had anyone complain in the contests, or claim that it is unfair, that makes me happy! lol 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

What do you have for prizes? I have contests, but without prizes my members aren't active in them.

Yeah,me too, I can handle prizes like banners and being featured on the site but nothing like certificates or premium memberships and stuff like that.
