FTP LINK
Jun 5 2008, 4:57 PM EDT | Post edited: Jun 5 2008, 4:57 PM EDT
How can I create links to an FTP site for members to download files? (I have run out of attachments)
I have tried a link of the following format
ftp://ftp.(sitename).(domain)/(folder)/(file)
Unfortunately, this did not work.
I need some more help...

I would suggest not using a FTP. Upload your flies on a hosting server.
Try Mediafire.com
Or Filebeam.com
I reccomend those.

but what if I'm referring to someone else's ftp site? For example, I want to create a link to here: ftp://ftp.dell.com/cmsdk/DellSDPCatalog_Readme.doc no workie.

Can't you just put a link on your page to the download site? 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

That's what he tried to do and didn't succeed.
Can't you download everything you need and upload it somewhere else, as mentioned above?

Yeah, I use Mediafire, and it's pretty good.
