"a clarification if you would be so kind;

can people upload pictures etc by mobile browser or is this considered "editing"."
I have not tried that yet, but I doubt it. Mobile access is pretty much limited to threads, messages, and a small portion of the site settings.

"True, I do not work for Wetpaint. I can tell you that this feature is NOT in development though, as I have already listed a solution for accessing Wetpaint from your mobile phone."
Baby apple has been kind enough to post a work around not having wetpaint accessible thru a true mobi interface, but it has its limitations for those of us that want FULL MOBILE functionality (editing, uploading images etc). and who do not have Iphones. But it is hard for me to believe that this feature is not in development somewhere at wetpaint.

So, I thought this "fresh off the presses" article helps demonstrate the growing demand for this form of access which is not being ignored by the telcos.

And since I have not yet seen a direct response from wetpaint.com (puzzling) to this discussion, I thought I would see if wetpaint.com will consider elevating the priority of a mobi web presence and access and help keep wetpaint.com in the front of the pack when it comes to hosting wiki sites. How about it wetpaint. care to comment?

Thanks in advance.

There has been ONE direct response from Wetpaint on page one; Jason_Wetpaint is Wetpaint's QA Manager. If you have Verizon Wireless, some people have "Mobile Web 2.0" and I have found success in all Wetpaint features, although I have found it to probably be the SLOWEST browser on earth.

I have gotten success using my iPod Touch to use the basic functionality that is allowed w/ Safari.

Thanks for the correction on wetpaint's response and the additional personal experience with functionally.

Have to agree, Verizon is still using THE slowest mobile web interface of any telco out there. Its been a major complaint for some time among their users. Keeping my fingers crossed that wetpaint and verizon have the resources left to pursue development in this growing area of demand.
