Jun 9 2008, 3:45 AM EDT I know many nine, ten and eleven years olds from the net who just say they are thirteen. As my parents say, the internet is not a place to find truth, at least for people. Jun 22 2008, 5:06 PM EDT Unfortunately, as said above, you cannot create a wiki (or even go on a lot of sites for that matter) if you are under 13 due to Wetpaint not knowing the content of nearly 1 Million wetpaint sites. They prove they are over 13 by clicking the box. Personally I think Wetpaint should opt for a new option to stop them from creating an account. Eg. have a combobox with the options: 3-7 years 8-12 years 13-18 years 19-30 years 31-40 years 41-50 years 51-60 years 60+ That would catch children as they would think that you would need to be the second one and click it instead of a check box. 5 out of 6 found this valuable. Maybe there could be an option to have your site have like a 13+ or 18+ rule and the accounts cannot acess it unless that account is over the cerain age. Part of that law requires that we ask that all users are over the age of 13.
