Can we make the changes view easier to see? Different colors maybe?
May 14 2008, 11:13 AM EDT | Post edited: May 14 2008, 11:13 AM EDT
I have trouble seeing the changes a user made.... they are apparently marked in blue when I click on view changes but I always having trouble finding them. I 'think' this is because the changes are marked in blue? This does not jump out when there are so many blue links on a page... is there an easier way to see what changes were made to a page and/or can this be made more obvious? 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Some changes to a page may just be format changes, which you won't be able to see because nothing has been added or deleted. Do you find this valuable?

I understand when there are format changes.... but many times when a page is full of content and I want to see what 20 words were added... I can't figure it out.

Help?

Normally when words are added and/or deleted it's easy to notice because it'll have red crossed out words next to blue words. Red meaning that words have been deleted and blue added. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Right. I know this. Its when words are ONLY added... and thus in Blue... they are hard or impossible to find. ESPECIALLY when users are linking to other pages and thus the link means its blue already. WE NEED A DIFFERENT COLOR, less common than BLUE for added text. I can never tell what has changed on a page I am trying to monitor.

I appreciate the responses but I am comfortable with how things work - I am trying to say they don't work well.

They do work well, because no one else is complaining about them except for you. If more people complained about it then I would see what the problem was.

I'm sorry if I sounded a bit angry then, it's just that Wetpaint is a good free wiki builder and checking what has been added or deleted is just a small part of it.

Fair enough. Sometime it takes someone to raise their hand for an issue to be talked about. Its just something that can help quite a bit when trying to moderate two wikis. I am a huge fan of wetpaint and have great fun with my wikis. Do you find this valuable?

I agree. I am having trouble viewing changes at all. No matter what change I click on in the updates section they all look the same as the final page. No edits nothing. Is there something I am missing. How would I revert to an earlier edit. Isnt that what wikis are about? Do you find this valuable?

Text additions show up as blue, deleted text shows up as red. When images, tables, or widgets are added or removed it is not color coded. I'm not quite sure how one would do that. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

A red x through a deleted widget and a blue check mark through an added widget?
