Huge Homepage Editing BUG
May 13 2008, 6:40 PM EDT Ok so when i go to my wiki www.xbox-nation.wetpaint.com I Edit it and the font,text and colors are automatically set to what i last used it and i cant change it back. And every time i try to center words in a table,i pres the center button and Then it makes a new row... I need to edit my Homepage but i cant do it properly. Do you find this valuable? |

May 13 2008, 8:24 PM EDT I just tried doing some editing on your page and didn't have these problems. I was able to center text within the table on your homepage and I was able to type anywhere on your homepage in whatever font, text, and color I wanted. (Don't worry I didn't save anything). Are you still having these problems? If you are...give me an example of example of exactly what you are trying to change and I will try to perform it on my end here at Wetpaint and see if I encounter the same problem Do you find this valuable? |

May 14 2008, 7:04 PM EDT Hm, this is weird because I am not having the same problem. See your wiki (I have centered those words on your home page). Have you copied this text or any of the tables into your wiki from a separate source? Sometimes formatting will mess up things. If it isn't too difficult/time-consuming I would recommend deleting the table/contents and then recreate and retype everything in. I am using Firefox. Maybe it is your browser? Do you find this valuable? |

May 14 2008, 8:13 PM EDT I use firefox and i did not copy the content from anywhere. See the problem is i already completely deleted my homepage and edited alot and i still have the same problem. Do you find this valuable? |

May 21 2008, 7:07 PM EDT I really am not sure why you are encountering these problems from your end. Jeremy_wetpaint and I have tried multiple types of editing similar to what you are describing and have had no problems at all. Your problem is not unique, except usually we encounter the same problem on our end. Generally though, this is the issue behind the problem: If you copy and past from cell to cell within a table or from cell to cell between tables, the settings will go with the copying. And for some reason, these almost become embedded in the cell and create editing issues such as the ones you are having. Now we can edit just fine from our end, so it may just have something to do with differing internet settings. I couldn't say. Does any of this help though? I must admit I am a bit stumped. Do you find this valuable? |
