Control of page design

Oh, one other thing. I wish I could control the color of the page background. I liked your city skyline design, but I didn't like the stark white background. I'd like to be able to pick tan or something, that is easier on the eyes. Likewise with print color. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

You could always make a table to fill up the entire page and change the background of the inside of the table to the colour you want. All you have to remember to do is to not have the table boarder. Do you find this valuable?

So where do you go to do that? I typically don't have a table, so much as a list on the main page, and an alphabetical list under Wiki Pages. I want to keep the list format, but add a color behind the print, and hopefully be able to change the print as well.

It would help if you posted a link to the page you're talking about so that I could help a bit more with your question. Do you find this valuable?

Simple, in easy edit create the table above the text, do what I said with the changing of the table and then (still in easy edit) highlight and drag all the text up and put it into the table. It should stay in the same format if you just do that. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

So far, so good, except the only color I get is black, and colors like tan aren't on the displayed scale.

Well, I can't do anything about the only getting black and about the tan colours not being their, but maybe Wetpaint can.

So far, so good. Now I have a tan background, but the title is still white. I can't see a way to change the color of the title background.

Thanks, Gene Douglas

Try to use a very light orange. That ends up as tan.
Hope this helps

The black was due to not selecting brightness. I googled a page that had a list of letters and numbers to adjust for both color and brightness. However, I can't see a way to apply the same principle to the page heading.

Thanks,
Gene

Do you mean the name of the page? If you do sorry, you can't change that.

No, there is no way to change the page heading background sorry. But I've had a look at your homepage and it looks good and you may be (I don't Know) the first one that has used a table to create a background colour for a page. Who knows maybe other people will follow in your footprint. lol
