Unable to create an account.

Message states "Based on the information you have supplied, you are ineligible to create a Wetpaint account." so now everytime I try to start a new account I can't get in. Help! 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

You cannot become a member of Wetpaint if you are under 13. It violates Wetpaint's terms and conditions. More information on the matter can be found on this page:

Dear Wetpaint Administrators,

After successfully editing the "9th graders" page on your hosted "grammar" wiki site, I accepted your invitation to register with Wetpaint as a user.

I've tried four times this morning to create an account, but your new user registration system seems defective. It does not provide any sort of feedback after I enter all my information except to say that my chosen user name is available.

The software should at least provide some sort of welcome message indicating that I have successfully signed on or, at the very least, send an e-mail acknowledgment, but when I try to log on to the grammar.wetpaint wiki, that site reports that it does not recognize my wetpaint login name. Why make such an incredibly frustrating and apparently useless new-user page?

I am an experienced contributor to multiple language versions of Wikipedia, as well as a graphic designer, indexer, copy editor, abstracter and computer programmer. I feel I know my way around computers pretty well, but I have seldom encountered a site with such a problematic interface for new users as yours.

By the way, 'm running Mac OS X 10.4.11 on a 500-MHz G4 computer with 1.75 GB of installed RAM.

Best regards,
Erik Pedersen (erik.pedersen@shaw.ca)

Seems a lot of people are having registration/login difficulties lately. Their "flush the cookies" workaround doesn't appear to be working around the bug anymore.

I created an account for my son's soccer team website and it asked me to verify date of birth. I suspect his makes him too young to join, but how do I change the profile if the website won't even let me in now due to the e-mail address link to my original account? I just keep getting the "not eligible to create account" message. Do you find this valuable?
